Intellectual Property in KSA

Saudi Arabia has ratified the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works of 1886, revised in Paris on 24th July 1971 and Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property of 1883, both with effect from 11th March 2004. Three government authorities have authority to protect and enforce intellection property rights: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry for trade marks, the Ministry of Culture and Information for copyright, and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology for patent.
